Christopher P. Mooney's debut single-author collection of short transgressive fiction - Whisky for Breakfast - is available now from Bridge House Publishing in paperback and on Kindle.
'Mooney writes about loners and losers; people on the fringes and those left behind. His characters are lost and broken; hard men and tough women often trying but failing to do the right thing. The writing is precise and uncompromising, and always surprising. The stories in this dazzling debut collection drag you out of your comfort zone and stay with you long after you have read them. Highly recommended.'
- Gary Duncan, author of 'You're Not Supposed to Cry'.
Fresh Fish, a short story about a newly-incarcerated convict, was published in the inaugural edition of Crooked Holster in April 2015. This was the first time any of Mooney's writing had been published, anywhere.
El Chupacabra was published in Devolution Z's Bigfoot Special Edition in December 2015. Original artwork by self-taught Glaswegian artist Vicki Buchan accompanied the story inside the edition and also appeared on the back cover.
